  • Legislature to vote Thursday on stopgap state budget

Today Sacramento, without any real hearings, will pass a stopgap budget, just as they did in September, 2008 then a real budget in February 2009.

$2.5 billion is being cut from education, but the Education Committee did not hold hearings.

Only non union new hires get their pensions cut--a way for unions to extort money from these workers.

Has the public been able to discuss this budget with their representatives? Of course not.

This is how the Soviet Union worked. Here is the budget, accept it, pay for it, and shut up.

It is still my hope that at least one elected official will demand honesty in the process.

This is why I believe when the real budget is proposed under the new governor; the TEA Party will rise up and cause an end to the Sacramento special interest ruling class. The 2012 elections will not be pretty for incumbents in California.
