  • SF Government Transportation: Costs More, Less Service

Voters get the government they deserve.

"The plan to eliminate the $16.9 million hole in the Municipal Transportation Agency's current budget includes something for nearly everyone - from bus riders to bus drivers to folks who wait in line to pay parking tickets - to hate.

Muni riders would have to wait longer, prices to ride historic streetcars would jump to $5, select commuters would pay more for Fast Passes, and the prices of residential parking permits and youth and senior transit passes would rise, the agency said Friday."

More taxes, more cost to the riders, less service--thank you should be given to the unions that own the government transportations system in San Fran.

Allow government to own a service, and this is what you get.

How about a ballot measure to sell the"Muni" to a private, non union firm? This would be a winner for everybody--except the corrupt government and its union owners.

If the voters of Massachusetts are able to elect a Republican Senator, then maybe the people of San Fran can revolt against its' Masters as well.
