If you wanted to kill someone in the open, with millions watching, this is the way to do it. Do not provide a single ballot measure with the tile "Repeal Prop. 13".
Instead you create a "Convention" with hundreds of reforms on the table. A tweak here, a tweak there and the main goal, the ending of Prop.13 is hidden in the mass of "ideas".
The whole, and only real purpose of a Constitutional Convention, is to end the need for a 2/3 vote to raise taxes. Then end the 2/3 requirement to pass a budget. Combined you have the real "reform" these folks want. But they need the smoke and mirrors of a "Convention" to hide the crime about to be committed.
The crime? Higher taxes, killing jobs and the California economy. These folks have created a government caused Depression (bad regulations, AB 32 killing jobs and causing productive folks to leave the State)--this will guarantee a permanent Depression.
Beware of the call for this "Convention". It is the unions and other special interests wanting to get into your pants, for the last of your money.
