  • Del Beccaro: Why The Harmer Race Matters to CA & The Nation

The Republicans are going to win the race for Governor and all statewide seats in Virginia. The last three of four polls in New Jersey show the GOP candidate with a small lead (but he needs to big lead to overcome the corruption of the electoral process in Jersey to win). Still he is close and might win.

In the special election in NY 23, the GOP candidate, a product of ACORN, has faded and the race is between an Obama Democrat and a conservative GOP'er--this is a district that has not elected a Democrat in more than 100 years.

That leaves the race in CA 10--the Bay Area, as the last race to determine the "love" for Obama versus the love for freedom.

The GOP candidate David Harmer is articulate and qualified. He would represent all of the district, not just the Obama supporters. "John Garamendi (Democrat) would be one more advocate for European style, as he puts it, social programs. He is also for higher taxes unabashedly so according to the LA Times. Harmer, on the other hand, is intent on Growing the economy not the Government. He understands that individuals produce prosperity and that more often than not government destroys that prosperity through wasteful spending, high tax rates and debt. Quite simply, we dont need John Garamendis vote in Congress. We need more voices of reason."

Excellent review of the race by California Republican Party Vice Chairman Tom Del Beccaro. But, this piece is really a call to action. If you are in the Bay Area, please volunteer three hours this weekend to work a phone bank or walk a precinct. While it might not be your congressional district, it is a statement against higher taxes and the totalitarian policies of Barrack Obama.

Please, just three hours this weekend for Harmer, for California.
