The openly corrupt SEIU (the head of the SEIU is Andy Stern--he is also on the Board of ACORN, for example) is upset that "teachers" are being laid off. No, not from your local school, but from prisons class rooms.
We know that rehabilitation works--tens of millions are spent on rehabilitation and we get a 70% recidivism rate. In other words, those that come out of prison, the vast majority of them, are smarter criminals, not better citizens..
Why doesn't Saturday Night Live or Leno and Lettterman joke about this silliness--the corrupt unions picketing for their friends the criminals?
If it were up to the ACLU and the SEIU, we would not have prison cells, we would have "Adopt a Prisoner" program.
