  • First of Many Lawsuits Against High Speed Rail

As expected, the first of the hundreds, literally, of lawsuits have been filed against the High Speed Rail boondoggle--this is a payoff to unions and corporations that support the establishment in Sacramento, it is going to be a massive money loser.

In this case, the citizen is saying the plan to retrofit rails in his area just does not work. What he does not understand, it was never intended to work. At this end of the day the High Speed Rail people will say we need to spend another $2-3 billion to replace the rails. They know that now, but they are also claiming the whole project will cost just $40 billion to build--they know the real number is $100 billion, and when you include the interest charges, the cost, just to build, is over $200 billion.

Numerous cities along the route are planning their own lawsuits. This project will be built when your great grand children pay off the deficits of Gray and Arnold.

First if it true a high-speed rail is something we do need in this country
SEEING HOW HIGH SPEED ARE RUN ON ELECTRICITY, and will cause awhole lot less damage to the environment.
When it's completed throughout the United States, how much diesel and gas that will cut from going into the environment.

Probably nothing. High speed rail is meant as an employment generator for bureaucrats, unions, and big business, and profit generator for the rich. It probably could be a good thing for California, but it probably won't be based upon who's behind it.
The passenger rail system has been a failure in so many terms that it isn't credible anymore. I always liked it, but it's a failure other than nostalgia and tourism.
