  • Can You Reform Corrupt High Speed Rail Effort?

To get a $10 billion bond passed, which means it will cost $20 billion to pay back, those supporters, like Arnold, lied about the costs--it was $33 billion, now it is $65 billion--the real cost for all 13 legs is $200 billion.

They lied about the potential rider ship--they doubled it.

They lied about being transparent in their dealing--does anybody know that they are going to get either the Chinese or Germans to build this--not Americans?

Did you know that the workers will be all union, bribe paying folks?

"Efforts to reform or even abolish California's controversial $43 billion proposed high-speed rail project were met this week with a promotional campaign organized by a top state government rail executive to impress a key federal official.

Three California legislators have proposed bills that range from shaking up the High-Speed Rail Authority to doing away with the proposed Anaheim-to-San Francisco bullet train system altogether.

Meanwhile, a series of emails obtained by Voice of OC reveal a range of lobbying efforts by a key high-speed rail official, from mobilizing rail industry insiders at a congressional hearing in Fresno today to keeping Vice President Joe Biden on the side of the current California rail project."

They are using tax dollars and bond dollars to lobby to stop those who want an honest program.

This is how government corruption operates. They lie about the costs and use; they use your money to spend more for the special interests.

Shame on us for allowing this.
