  • San Fran Spends $5.7 Million for Hydrogen Gas Station--for Zero Cars

The cost of a hydrogen car, today is approximately one million dollars, with NO tax credits.

But the citizens of San Fran just had local government agencies spend $5.7 million to open up a hydrogen gas station, at San Fran airport. At best these cars get 38.7 mpg.

What are those who built this smoking? "Once the pricey project is completed — the aim is for early 2012 — the hydrogen fuel will not be cheap. Hydrogen costs the equivalent of $10 per gallon of gasoline and has been criticized for lacking enough infrastructures to be a viable alternative to gasoline.

But airport officials say it will further their goal of cutting vehicle emissions."

$10 per gallon? Cut vehicle emissions? How do you cut emissions if no one drives the cars? I guess that if you can afford a million dollar car, you can afford $10 a gallon fuel.

Any wonder government is having a fiscal collapse--this is how they spend your money, on cars they do not and will not exist.

Toyota thinks they can produce a hydrogen car by 2015 for $50,000--you willing to pay $10 a gallon for hydrogen?
