THIS is a FUNDAMENTAL problem, and is a MAJOR reason for our troubles with ILLEGAL immigration. Anchor babies CANNOT be PROPERLY defined as AMERICAN citizens because their parents are ILLEGAL aliens, and as such, illegal alien parents do NOT DESERVE birthright citizenship for their American-born children! It is LONG since DUE that birthright American citizenship for anchor babies be ENDED! In fact, it MUST be terminated as of NEXT year on January 1, 2010, or our nation will face even greater unprecendented and unmitigated disasters with illegal immigration!
