  • Audit Reveals San Jose Pension Woes: $2 Billion in Unfunded Liabilities

Great news of the union owed city of San Jose!!

"A new San Jose audit report released this week shows the city's $3.8 billion pension system is $2 billion short of covering employee and retiree pension benefits as a result of rising pension costs that Mayor Chuck Reed called "unsustainable."

The "Pension Sustainability" report released Wednesday by the city auditor assessed the long-term sustainability of San Jose's pension benefits and the potential impact of increases in pension costs on city services."

Just $2 billion to be made up by the taxpayers, no big deal. This is as corrupt as if the unions directly stole $2 billion. Will the taxpayers’ revolt? I doubt it.

When the story of the Depression and the collapse of the State of California and dozens of our cities--the finger will point at unions and the 1977 decision by Gov. Brown to turnover government from the people to the unions.

We are now paying for the corruption of Jerry Brown from 33 years ago. (Brown signed the collective bargaining bill in 1977 that mandated government employees pay bribes to hold government jobs)
