  • CalPERS to Costs U.S. Taxpayers $200 Million

CalPRS is going to get $200 million from the Feds. Good for CalPRS.

Missing in this story is the fact that poor and middle class folks in Dover, Denver and Detroit will lose $200 million from their families in order to provide this "free" service in California.

"The California Public Employees Retirement System expects to save about $200 million through a new reinsurance program authorized by federal health care reform that will provide health benefits to retirees over age 55 who are not eligible for Medicare.

Businesses, purchasing pools and unions that are accepted into the program will be reimbursed for a portion of high-cost medical claims for early retirees and their spouses and dependents. Savings can be used to reduce health care costs and provide premium relief to workers and families or both."

This is not free money from Washington, it is money stolen by Obama and his band of Democrats. Shame on us for taking this money. Just say no to theft and problems that promote theft. If we can not afford it, we should not buy it.
