Pasadena, California is run like a criminal syndicate. Harsh words? No, this is a town, known for the Rose Bowl, but also known for protecting criminals from other nations.
Pasadena has declared itself a "sanctuary city". Thanks to the Judge in the recent Arizona SB 1070 case, sanctuary cities are no longer legal--no city can be a protector of criminals, of any sort.
"A public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced this week that it has filed an open records lawsuit against the Pasadena, CA, Police Department, and PPD Police Chief Christopher Vicino, to obtain documents related to the department’s alleged illegal alien sanctuary policy.
Chief Vicino reportedly indicated that the department prevents his officers from “asking about anybody’s legal status unless it is a matter of national security,” which may be a violation of federal immigration law. On June 4, attorney's with the Washington, DC-based Judicial Watch sent the PPD a request under the California Public Records Act seeking access to the following.
Any and all records of PPD’s policies, procedures, or directives concerning, regarding, or relating to undocumented (illegal) aliens; and, any and all records of PPD’s policies, procedures, or directives concerning, regarding or relating to contacts or communications between PPD officers or employees and federal immigration officials regarding a person’s immigration status."
Those responsible need to provide the requested information. They also need to be investigated by their actions which led to murders, thefts, scams and other crimes. They should be charged as conspirators since instead of turning the illegal aliens into the Feds, they protected them.
Crime needs to punish--the city of Pasadena needs to explain and then pay a large fine. Also, the Police Chief, the city council, city manager and those responsible for this criminal activity need to be fired.
Protect a criminal; go to jail--even if you are the Mayor or Police Chief.
