  • Government Transit System Out Sources to Private Industry!

There is great news for freedom from San Diego County.

"On Thursday, 178 NCTD drivers will become private employees, part of a district cost-cutting move. All of the district's drivers ---- which numbered more than 200 last fall and wear the colorful tops ---- were offered positions with the private firm First Transit, according to district officials.

The move will reduce drivers' pay and benefits and keep the public transit agency, which provides the region's bus and train service, financially afloat, district leaders have said.

An additional 31 of NCTD's bus planning and support staff, such as bus dispatchers, also will transition to First Transit."

Government, tax payers, will save money. Private firms making a profit pay taxes. The taxpayers are no longer responsible for the benefits.

And, when working for a private firm employees will be nicer.

As we head into the 4th of July weekend, this is the first glimmer for freedom from government oppression and corruption I have seen in a while.

Almost all of government can be outsourced (except for the corruption--that can be sent to prison)
