Two kids apply to UC Berkeley. One is an honest person, here in the country legally or even born in this country.
The other, someone who is here illegally, using our tax dollars for education and health care, illegally, driving illegally.
Which one do the media support getting a seat in a premier government school? Oh, the criminal, of course.
"Although the 17-year-old Kaiser High School senior carries a 4.09 grade-point average and has been accepted to the university, she cannot apply for government loans because she's an illegal immigrant and doesn't have a Social Security number.
"I don't know how I'm going to pay for school," she said. "All I want is a chance."
Castro said less than a year ago, one Kaiser High administrator refused to sign a petition supporting federal college aid for illegal immigrants, supposedly saying that they don't deserve to go to American universities.
"I just started crying," Castro said"
What about the honest people, crying that criminals have stolen their opportunity for a great education? Not once does this story note that honest people are harmed by those who break the law.
This is why newspaper are losing circulation--they seem to promote criminals and law breakers, higher taxes, job killing bills. If I want to hear that kind of talk, I will go hear a Democrat.
The girl deserves a university education--in her real country.
