  • Push to Legalize Marijuana Gains Ground in California

The push to legalize drugs in California has hit the proverbial slippery slope. This NY Times story makes it clear that folks in California are desperate for revenues--even if it kills productivity and people.

Who is behind this latest attack on the teens and citizens of California? "None of which seems to faze Mr. Lee, 47, a former roadie who founded Oaksterdam University, a medical marijuana trade school in Oakland, in 2007. Mr. Lee says he plans to use the Internet to raise money, as well as tapping out-of state sources for campaign money.

More than anything, however, Mr. Lee said he was banking on a basic shift in peoples attitudes toward the drug.

For a lot of people, he said, its just another brand of beer.

Where will they get the money to run the campaign? From You! The owner of the "Mens Wearhouse", a guy named Zimmer, donated $500,000 to the "medical" marijuana initiative a few years ago. Wonder how much he will donate this time?

California is on its way to being mellow. Why not, we are in a Depression, need the revenues and who wants to be sober in these times? Oh, adults want sobriety--the children run and hide behind drugs and alcohol.

    Proud of California yet?
