  • Government Agency Puts Small Business in Jeopardy

The Metropolitan Water District (MWD) of Southern California created a program to make the community "green". "The incentive program provides rebates to customers and vendors such as ReGreen, which installs water-efficient devices, including toilets and washing machines, for clients’. "Good” idea--but like the State of California, it does not pay its bills.”

Good idea, except they are refusing to pay their bills. "David Duel didn’t think he’d have to lay off 45 of his 52 employees.

But that’s what the 23-year-old and his two partners, Sean Neman, 23, and Kevin Refoud, 25, did in April after their company, ReGreen, didnt receive $900,000 for water efficiency work from an incentive program run by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California."

If a private company did this, not pay its bills, the DA would indict, investigations would happen, a Trustee would take over the company.

This being a government agency, it is allowed to commit fraud and get away with it. Those responsible needs to be fired, sued and jailed. This is why government can not be trusted; hundreds of lives have been harmed by a government agency, on purpose.

Shame on us for allowing this.
