  • Should Unions Be Partners in Government?

The government of California is supposed to be run for the benefit of the people of the Sate, not a special interest group. Yet, our Governor has decided to share governance with the unions. "During recent budget negotiations, the governor stated that California needs to strike a balance between the interests of government employee unions and the interests of taxpayers. "

Why not strike a balance with the Rotary, PTA, realtors and other special interests?

Just because an organization sets itself up, gets government to give it a monopoly, can force people to pay bribes in order to work, does not mean they are your equal partner, or a partner at all.

They are just another special interest. To negotiate with special interests you need to remember one thing--the Governor and the State of California represent the people, not the unions.

"According to the U.S. Census Bureau, California public employees are the highest paid in all 50 states. The non-partisan Legislative Analyst has rated California the most generous in pension benefits
for its employees. These guaranteed pensions are costing taxpayers more each year. The current bill is approaching $5 billion."

The Democrats, as we all know, are a wholly owned subsidiary of the unions. That is their right, to own a political party. That does not give them the right to steal from the people of California. The numbers speak for themselves. Now you know why California is broker than broke. Kill the monopoly, save the State and the people of California. Believe that unions are an equal partner and you have the chaos and disaster of the fiscal meltdown.

Your choice--monopolies and corruption, or free and open government for all, not just the special interests.

Time for a continuation of the Voter Revolt. Get angry or get poor.
