Republicans have a plan to return water to the Central Valley.
"A Republican plan to force resumption of full pumping of water from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta to farms and other water users south of the Delta is being met with strongly worded opposition Monday.
The GOP plan is sponsored by Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Tulare and others.
It would prevent any federal funds from being used to implement the biological decisions responsible for reduced Delta pumping – “effectively guaranteeing normal pump operations for 2011,” Mr. Nunes says."
