"These are young people who are working very hard at very moderate pay," said Rep. Doris Matsui (D-Sacramento), who paid her staff an average bonus of just under $9,000.

Sacramento Congresswench Doris Matsui passed out average bonuses of $9,000.00 each to her congressional staff this year, despite the federal budget deficit, and the fact that many of her constituents have been evicted from their homes because of the great recession:
