FROM STAFF REPORTS

VICTORVILLE • For four years, Raymond Herrera has traveled the country as a national rally spokesman for the Minuteman Project, a group opposed to illegal immigration.

Now the Victorville resident is setting his sights on the Victor Valley, with a 6:30 p.m. rally Saturday at Bear Valley and Hesperia roads.

That, he said, will be followed by a presentation at the next Victorville City Council meeting. He said he plans to remind the council of their oaths of office and said the council has been complicit in permitting illegal aliens in local schools and businesses.

“The rule of law is not being equally administered,” he said. “It’s actually being circumvented when it comes to illegal aliens ... Our whole society is inundated with another culture and it’s having an adverse affect,” he said.

At a recent rally at Rep. Jerry Lewis’ office, Herrera said opponents challenged him to take his message to the High Desert.

Despite attacks and insults, Herrera said the Minuteman organization is far more racially and ethnically diverse than groups defending illegal immigration. As a decorated soldier in the Army’s 173rd Airborne Brigade, Herrera gets emotional when he talks of the bonds between soldiers that dissolve racial lines.

“Our agenda is America,” he said. “Our agenda is the rule of law and American posterity. We’re not a racist group. We’re not asking any group to be elevated over any other group. But we’re asking that the American creed —the core values of this nation be invoked into this (illegal immigration) debate.”

Question Immigration only ??????? I hope not

MR HERRERA is your organization and other Minutemen organization upset only about illegal aliens ????
So you're going to let these city officials know about being complicit over these illegal, do you truly not think they know they are already ???

Im not Trying to be a smartass, or downgrade your organization or that of other Minutemen organization throughout this country, but I truly can't understand why every organization of Minutemen in this country have not mobilize and are not hold true town hall meeting's in our city square's, to pull the citizenry in and get their support in this fight to save our country.
Every politician in this country has the news media sending out false propaganda, so that the true facts are watered down or just not looked at, at all, there are a lot more people that would support your agendas if this type of actions were taken by organizations against the corruption going on in our country.

There are so many different ways to look at the corruption going on in our country, here are just a few ways people look at it that I can think of.

#-1, many people are upset over the amount of legal aliens let into this country do to the different work programs.

#-2, many more people are upset over the illegal aliens, and the lack of enforcement of our laws do to them.

YET: these two types of individuals may not support how each group looks upon their own train of thought about the Problem that each side sees and that each one is facing.

#-3, In a situation that I personally understand and am living in right now,
there are millions of American citizens paying way too high of rent due to these illegal and legal people, they have taken over most government subsidized housing, and our citizens can't get in to them, I can't tell you how to reach these people, but in a town square meeting, these people may be able to voice their opinion.

#-4, How about the people in the auto industries, and the parts industry that were a part of the industries.
How many hundreds of thousands of them have lost their jobs, do to southern state politicians, who states are loaded with foreign automakers,
they may not be upset about the legal aliens or the illegal alien, but I bet they are over the foreign automakers being here.

This is just a few type of people that you may not be getting into the the Minutemen organization, or groups like SOS or fight back in Sacramento, or fire coalition.
People are just too busy fighting to make it today, to pay attention to what's going on, it's like the old saying, you can't see the forest because of the trees.

there is not a government agency in the United States right now, be it the federal government, the state government, the county government, or the city government, that is not overflowing with politicians not working in the best interest of the American people or this country.
why are we not marching on our City Hall's, then our state capitals, and removing these corrupt people ??????? talk is so cheap
