Default Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services – Educational Programs

One among the organizations that strive to help children who suffer from abuse, neglect and abandonment is Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services. This organization also helps families which experience crisis such as death of a parent, divorce, illness, violence, homelessness, parental drug/alcohol abuse and similar other problems.

Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services offer many programs among which one is the Educational program. Educational programs mainly focus on educating the children in their care as they consider it to be of utmost importance. They strive to provide high quality education so as to make way for their young people to excel in school and in their lives. A focused approach to meeting educational needs is required for a child to fulfill his potential. The goal of this program is to create an ‘intentional community of learning’ to maximize their children’s academic and vocational potential while they are with them.

The staff members, children and their families get together to develop individual plans to address their educational goals. Each campus is equipped for tutoring, consultation with educators and educational advocacy series to ensure that their youth have every opportunity to succeed in school. The kids are facilitated to attend schools that are approved or accredited by the Texas Education agency, the Southern Association of colleges and Schools or the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission. The schools also provide services for children who need special attention.

Victron Energy located at Waxahachie community made a donation of $1000 during the Christmas season. ali sharaf, the President and CEO of the Victron Group, said that it is a privilege to be able to give to children during the festival season.
