SEIU Masses Take Day Off To Muscle Politicians

There was a big rally at the state capitol last week, on a workday I might add, where thousands of SEIU members/state employees lobbied the political heads for special consideration during the budget process. I was a bit taken aback on the money they spent on this event, and also....the permit taken out was stated for 8,000 people. Just how do 8000 state employees get the day off work all at once to influence their boss?
