Default Hardesty Sand and Gravel Sues County Over Tiechert's New Mine Approval

Hastie's Sand And Gravel is suing for a writ of mandate to to overturn the recent county supervisors approval of Teichert's new mining operation. The suit references the county's reliance on a disputed environmental impact report.

2010-80000750 Joseph Hardesty vs. Sacramento County Board Of Supervisors

The approval of the new mining operation is a significant change in the aggregate mining industry in Sacramento county. A favorable deal could easily affect any other, smaller mining operations locally, and possibly set the area up for a monopoly by Teichert.
